My platform for my trustee candidacy is as follows:
- Advocacy for a public education system that is adequately and responsibly funded to meet the many and varied needs of children.
- Serving as a voice for children, families and community at the Board table.
- Supporting Board decisions that provide all children with every chance for success, including serving children with unique needs and vulnerabilities as well as those who pursue excellence.
- Engaging First Nations and ensuring a culturally responsive education for children and families of Indigenous ancestry.
- Ensuring that our staff have the supports and resources they need to do their jobs effectively throughout the system.
- Ensuring effective planning and budgeting processes with involvement of staff, parents, students, partners and the broader community.
